Our commitment
Stride Mobility is committed to making our website, www.stridepta.co.za, accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that every patient deserves equal access to information about their recovery — regardless of how they access the web. We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our website in line with international best practices and South African accessibility standards.
Standards we aim to meet
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Our website is built on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features and is working towards WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
Accessibility features on this site
We have taken the following steps to make our website more accessible:
-
Clear, plain language throughout — written to be understood by all patients, regardless of background or health literacy
-
Logical, consistent page structure with proper heading hierarchy
-
Descriptive image alt text so screen readers can convey visual content
-
Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
-
Forms with labelled fields to assist screen reader users
-
Navigation that is consistent across all pages
-
Text that can be resized without loss of functionality
-
Pages that are readable and usable on mobile devices
Known limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Known limitations include:
-
Some older PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully screen reader compatible. We are working to improve this.
-
Some embedded third-party forms (such as Google Forms used for rental orders) are hosted on external platforms and may have their own accessibility limitations.
-
Videos, if any are added in future, may not immediately include captions or audio descriptions - we will prioritise this when adding new video content.

Assistive technology compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with:
• Screen readers (including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Browser zoom and text resizing
• High contrast display modes
If you experience difficulty using any of these tools with our website, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
