KneeStrider Rentals

A KneeStrider is an alternative to crutches. It is used by post-surgery or injury by those who cannot put weight on a foot or ankle. Benefits of using a KneeStrider:  Balanced and stable mobility | Excellent body support | Eliminates wrist injuries | Eliminates underarm and shoulder stress | Ease of movement |  Speed the healing process | All our KneeStriders come with a basket and a comfortable knee cushion.

You can collect a KneeStrider at Wilgers Hospital, or it can be delivered to you for a nominal fee. During your visit one of our friendly staff members will assist you in adjusting the height of the handles and the knee rest pad. All KneeStriders are serviced after rental to ensure a quality product is delivered to you. Please note that all KneeStriders are subject to availability.

KneeStrider Economy Rental

Available in Pink and Blue, the Economy KneeStrider provides a reliable and comfortable alternative to crutches for patients needing an effective mobility solution at an affordable price. 
Ideal for indoor use, the steerable knee scooter walker features four smooth 7.5" diameter rubber wheels.  Compatible with both the right and left legs, the Economy KneeStrider is lightweight and portable.


Weight limit of 90kg is advised.

Hybrid and Deluxe Rental

The Hybrid features all terrain pneumatic front wheels in a four-wheel design for maximum freedom and stability.  Compatible with both the right and left legs, the hybrid offers a 3" thick contoured knee platform and ergonomic rubber hand grips for complete comfort.
This kneeStrider is lightweight and portable with a simple folding mechanism


Weight limit of 120 kg is advised.

Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement

1. By renting the knee walker / rollator/ IWalk from the Owner, the Renter agrees that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms herewith stated.


2. The Owner shall not be liable in any event of loss, delay or damages of any nature whatsoever resulting from the use of the knee walker.


3. The Renter is responsible for the knee walker / rollator/ IWalk from the time it is handed over to the renter until it is returned in good working order to the Owner. If failure to return the device in good working order occurs, the renter will be liable for an account of any repairs or replacement that needs to take place by our mechanic.


4. The Renter agrees to use the knee walker / rollator/ IWalk at his/her own risk and accepts all responsibility for the item while in their possession.


5. The Renter agrees to make an upfront payment for the initial rental period and thereafter agrees to make further payment should the Renter wish to extend the rental period. All payments are to be up to date by the end of the rental period.


6. The renter agrees that all fees are due for the days that the item is in their possession, irrespective of whether it is used or not.


7. The renter agrees to pay a refundable deposit of R500 for economy walkers and R1000 for speciality walkers. This deposit will be refunded upon the return of the items if it is in good condition. 

8.  The renter agrees to inform the rooms 24 hours in advance if the KneeWalker / rollator/ IWalk will not be returned on the indicated date. 

9. Please note that the rental fee of the KneeWalker cannot be claimed from your medical aid.

10. The deposit and full rental amount is due before collection of the item.

11. The deposit will be refunded if the item is returned in good condition, once the return form is completed

12. The rental period can be increased if needed, just send a WhatsApp with the new return date

13.Items can be returned sooner than the indicated date and you will be refunded for the portion of the rental period between the return date and the indicated return date. 

14. The rental period is calculated for a full week, not for portions of a week

There is a refundable deposit payable prior to collection. This deposit is refunded upon return in good condition. Complete the return forms with your banking details for your refund. Please allow 14 days for the refund to reflect in your account. 


If the rental item is extremely dirty, returned late or any parts are broken, the amounts for repair will be deducted from the deposit.
