1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Stride Mobility website (www.stridepta.co.za) and your purchase or rental of products from Stride Mobility. By placing an order or submitting a rental form, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding. Stride Mobility is a medical device supplier based at MR Suite 4, Wilgers Hospital, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.

2. Products and Services

Stride Mobility offers the following:

• Sale of post-operative recovery equipment (moon boots, cast protectors, wedges, braces, compression socks, and more)

• Rental of KneeRovers and mobility aids

• Surgery-specific recovery bundles for Achilles surgery, Foot & Ankle surgery,

 

Ligament Reconstruction, and Forefoot surgery. All products are medical devices intended for post-operative use as directed by your treating orthopaedic surgeon. They are not intended to replace medical advice.

 

3. Ordering

Orders are placed by completing the relevant product order form on our website or by contacting us via WhatsApp or email. Submission of an order form constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is confirmed only once you have received an invoice from us and payment has been received in full. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. All products are available for collection at MR Suite 4, Wilgers Hospital, on the day of your surgery or discharge, unless otherwise arranged.

 

4. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at the time you submit your order will apply to that order. Products purchased or rented from Stride Mobility cannot be claimed from medical aid. No medical aid motivations will be completed for any product.
 

5. Payment

Payment is required in full before your order is processed or your rental equipment is delivered. We will issue an invoice to the contact details provided on your order form. Once payment is received, your order or rental will be confirmed. Accepted payment methods are communicated on your invoice. We reserve the right to withhold delivery or collection of equipment until full payment is confirmed.

 

6. Delivery

KneeStriders are delivered to your ward at Wilgers Hospital on the day of your surgery, subject to payment being received in advance. Bundle items and other equipment are available for collection at MR Suite 4, Wilgers Hospital, on the day of surgery or discharge. Delivery to locations other than Wilgers Hospital may be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact us in advance to discuss this.

 

7. Returns and Refunds

No refunds are available for products that have been tried on or used. This applies to all items including moon boots, wedges, braces, shoes, and cast protectors. If a product is found to be defective or damaged upon collection (and before use), please notify us immediately. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, provide a replacement.

8. KneeStrider Rental Terms

The following terms apply specifically to KneeStrider rentals. By renting a KneeStrider from Stride Mobility, you agree to all of the following:

  • A refundable deposit of R500 (Economy model) or R1,000 (all other models) is payable before collection or delivery. The deposit is refunded upon return of the KneeStrider in good condition, once the return form has been completed.

  • The full deposit and rental amount are due before collection or delivery of the KneeStrider.

  • Rental fees are charged for every day the KneeStrider is in your possession, whether or not it is used.

  • You are responsible for the KneeStrider from the time it is handed over to you until it is returned in good working order. Any damage or loss incurred during the rental period is your liability.

  • Stride Mobility is not liable for any loss, delay, or damages of any nature arising from the use of the KneeRover.

  • You agree to use the KneeRover at your own risk and accept full responsibility while it is in your possession.

  • To extend your rental period, WhatsApp us at 072 088 5329 with your new return date, giving at least 24 hours' notice.

  • If you return the KneeStrider earlier than the agreed date, you will receive a refund for the unused portion of the rental period.

  • If the KneeStrider is not returned in good working order, you will be liable for the cost of repairs or replacement.

  • KneeStrider rental fees cannot be claimed from medical aid.

  • KneeStridersmust be returned to the rooms of Dr Naudé or Dr du Toit at your followup appointment, or as otherwise arranged.

 

Note: KneeStriders cannot be used by patients who have had previous knee surgery. Crutches are available as an alternative.
 

9. Medical Disclaimer

Stride Mobility supplies medical devices for post-operative use. The information on our website, including equipment recommendations by surgery type, is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute medical advice. Always follow the specific instructions of your treating orthopaedic surgeon and physiotherapy team. Stride Mobility is not responsible for any injury, complications, or adverse outcomes arising from the use or misuse of any product supplied by us.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Stride Mobility website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Stride Mobility and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content from this website without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stride Mobility is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services. Our total liability in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

 

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
